How the Easter egg hunt works.

Colorful plastic eggs will be scattered down the Bunny Maze located in the large indoor barn. Participants are encouraged to bring their own basket to use as they collect eggs along the trail. Please remember that it is not a race and it doesn’t matter how many eggs you collect, the eggs that you have gathered are then turned in and exchanged for an Easter treat.

Once you have collected your eggs and received your treat we ask that you clear the area in order to make room for more guests to hunt for eggs.

Smash, Don’t Trash, Pumpkins This Season!

Fall is the pumpkin’s time to shine, but what happens when it is time to say goodbye to the short-lived jack-o-lanterns?

Why Not Green your Halloween by recycling pumpkins into compost and animals feed at our outdoor Pumpkin Smash Festival !

Bring your pumpkin—that is free of candles, paint, ribbons or any other non-organic materials—to the Farm on Saturday, November 1st, from 10:00 a.m. to 4pm.

Then choose a fun way to dispose of your spent gourd, including using a mallet, bat, catapult or slingshot; dropping it; or using our pumpkin smash wall. Kids are also invited to take part in other fun, pumpkin-themed activities.

Pumpkins are an organic waste that produces the potent greenhouse gas methane as they decompose without oxygen in landfills. These decaying pumpkins also leach water that filters through the trash piles and pollutes nearby waterways.

Instead, choose to smash and recycle Halloween pumpkins at this community event. Pumpkins smashed will be composted into the farm field soils to help next year’s pumpkins grow as well as fed to all the hungry animals on the farm.
